Issued on the 30th anniversary of the band's break-up, it was their first compilation available on one Compact Disc. 1 was a commercial success, and topped the charts worldwide. The world's best-selling album of the 21st century, 1 has sold over 31 million copies. The Beatles One CD is a collection of greatest hits which are presented on one CD, as an alternative to the previously released RED and BLUE two-disc greatest hits album sets (see below). The Beatles One is comprised of Beatles' number one hits in the US and UK. It was a huge success when it was released and has sold over 31 million copies to date and was ranked as the best-selling CD in the US from 2000-2009, according to Wikipedia.
